How to Make the Perfect Raspberry Mocha

The Perfect Raspberry Mocha

This raspberry mocha is rich, slightly tart, chocolatey, and dangerously easy to fall in love with. Coffee shop–level indulgence, made right at home.

Today we’re breaking down exactly how to make a perfect raspberry mocha—hot and iced—using a simple recipe that lets the espresso shine (as it should).

Why the Espresso Matters (Yes, It Really Does)

A mocha lives or dies by its espresso. High quality beans brew high quality espresso.

This recipe is designed around bold, balanced espresso beans—the kind that cut through milk and chocolate without getting lost. Ours do exactly that: rich, smooth, and strong enough to hold their own against dark chocolate and bright raspberry. Order freshly roasted espresso beans here.

The Perfect Raspberry Mocha Recipe (16oz)

Ingredients For Both Hot & Iced:

- 0.5 oz raspberry coffee syrup

- 0.5 oz dark chocolate sauce

- 3 oz freshly brewed espresso

- Milk of choice (dairy or non-dairy)

- Toppings of choice (whipped cream, cold foam, sprinkles, chocolate drizzle)

☕ Hot Raspberry Mocha (16oz)

Milk Amount: ~10 oz

How to Make It

1. Brew 3 oz of espresso using freshly ground, high-quality espresso beans.

2. In your mug, add:

- 0.5 oz raspberry syrup

- 0.5 oz dark chocolate sauce

3. Pour the hot espresso over the syrups and stir until fully combined.

4. Steam 10 oz of milk until smooth and lightly frothy.

5. Pour the milk into your mug in a slow, circular motion. Finish with latte art for the unique home barista touch.

Optional but recommended: whipped cream, chocolate whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, a dusting of cocoa powder, or fresh raspberries.

🧊 Iced Raspberry Mocha (16oz)

Milk Amount: ~8 oz

How to Make It

1. Fill a 16oz glass with ice.

2. Brew 3 oz of espresso using freshly ground, high-quality espresso beans.

3. In a separate pitcher add:

- 0.5 oz raspberry syrup

- 0.5 oz dark chocolate sauce

4. Pour the espresso over the syrups and stir well (this helps everything blend evenly).

5. Add about 8 oz of cold milk to your ice.

6. Toss milk, ice, espresso & flavor back and forth between glass and pitcher to fully mix.

7. Top with whipped cream, drizzle, etc..

Pro Tips for Raspberry Mocha Greatness

- Use dark chocolate sauce, not milk chocolate—this keeps the drink rich instead of overly sweet.

- Don’t skimp on espresso. The full 3 oz is what gives this drink backbone.

- Toppings elevate the experience. We use a creamy chocolate whipped topping in our cafe.
